People get dog breeds wrong all the time. One common dog breed is the Russian Toy. The Russian Toy is originally named Russkiy Toy and was originally from the 18th century and originated in Russia. They were rumored to date back to the early 18th century and its original name was the English Toy Terriers. They are sometimes categorized as rare breeds because of the Russian Revolution of 1917, which almost eliminated all of the Russian Toys there are. It’s a small dog breed with two coats, a smooth and long coat. They look mostly like Chihuahua’s, the only difference is in the head and muzzle. In Russian Toys, we’ll notice they have longer hair, a more narrow head and a longer muzzle, but it’s not very noticeable. They are also more playful than Chihuahua’s and are slightly square shaped, with their body matching their height and limbs. It’s categorized as one of the rarest and smallest dogs because there are only about 770 in the U.S and weigh about 6 pounds. They are good outside dogs but don’t do very well with children, and can also struggle to train depending on their personality.
