Get your groove on at Lancaster and Palmdale SOAR

By Staff Reports

Starting this school year, SOAR High School has announced that all events hosted by the Lancaster and Palmdale campuses will now be open to students from either location. This means students no longer need to submit guest permission slips to attend events at the other campus. Instead, standard school-based permissions will be sufficient.

Additionally, this policy extends school event pricing to all SOAR students, making it easier for everyone to participate in school activities. The decision aims to foster a more united SOAR community and encourage greater student involvement across both campuses.

As Principal Wendi Johnston states, “this adjust allows for greater access and community building between our campuses.

Already, staff at both campuses applaud the decision with many saying they “love it.”

"It's wonderful," said Mrs. Galindo, the pupil services technician at Lancaster SOAR who also co-advises Music Club and the Class of 2025.

The first event to welcome this new policy will be SOAR Palmdale’s Homecoming happening Friday, Sept. 21 at their campus, located at 2770 E. Avenue Q, Palmdale, CA. The event will be from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $20 for SOAR and $30 at-the-door.

Students attending Lancaster SOAR need only pay $20 at-the-door to attend the Hollywood-themed event because the presale option was not available. All others will need to pay $30 if a presale ticket was not already purchased. Just remember your school ID!
