We all know the feeling: it's warming up, the sun is coming out, and everything is turning green. What more reason do you need to get out than beautiful, sunny, warm weather? March 20th officially marks the first day of spring, however, for those of us living in Lancaster, March is the perfect time to get out before the temperatures become unbearable. So here are four spring activities that will help you get rid of your winter blues and kick off a new, sunnier season.
Spend time outdoors
Spring is the mark of a restart. The flowers are blooming, the leaves are turning green, and it makes a great time to spend some time outdoors. You can ride your bike, go on a walk, head to the park, or have fun in the sun at the sandy beaches of the West Coast. It’s so important to take advantage of this warm weather.
2. Got to a farmer’s market
Warmer weather also means new fruits that are in season. Stop by the farmers market on the BLVD every Thursday from 4-9 p.m to browse a variety of goods.
3. Visit an art museum
The new Los Angeles County Museum of Art Immersive Frida Kahlo Exhibit will be opening on March 10 so make sure to buy your tickets now on their website, www.lacma.org. The exhibit will feature 500,000 cubic feet of art all a tribute to Frida Kahlo.
4. Have a picnic
Grab a blanket, food, and some friends (or yourself) and have a picnic. An outdoor lunch is a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather and surround yourself with the greenery of the season.
