The COVID-19 pandemic has grown and increased at incredibly rapid rates in our communities especially in the United States. With over 15,000,000 cases in the United States alone, the long awaited answer concerning the COVID-19 vaccination is here. There is reported progress from numerous labs and databases that may help the decline of COVID-19. Much like any rumored idea there are many people who oppose and who do not fully understand why the vaccine acts as it does. Numerous news outlets have let people know that they have been taking in individuals to conduct the vaccine and test as to how it would work. According to the CDC, the vaccinations are soon to be under trial in the United States, there are several types. The most popular being the mRNA vaccine, the CDC states, “mRNA vaccines contain material from the virus that causes COVID-19 that gives our cells instructions for how to make a harmless protein that is unique to the virus. After our cells make copies of the protein, they destroy the genetic material from the vaccine.” Using the material from the actual virus to help combat it. It is said that most COVID-19 vaccines will have to require more than one shot, the first to build protection the second days later to get the most out of the vaccination’s protection. As we wait for the vaccine to complete it’s trials in the United States and to be officially distributed it is important to maintain proper social distancing, mask wearing, and reducing chances of being exposed and exposing others.
