Are you addicted to your cell phone? Now that school has started we all know the struggle of not being able to put our cell phones down. From the ‘90s to the present, cell phones have had a great impact on our society. Now, we all have our own excuses when it comes to our personal devices and what we think is healthy and unhealthy. We use our cell phones for making payments, entertainment, capturing memories, and so much more! We have become so dependent on them from how much they help us to a certain extent.
School has started for most students and especially with everything going on in the world right now, it becomes 10x easier to use your phone in class since we’re online. Now everyone has their own ways with how addicted they are to their cell phones and usually can’t put it down, while others can go days without checking it. Here are some signs of unhealthy habits when it comes to phones. For example:, you wake up multiple times at night to check your phone, you feel anxious, upset, or short-tempered when you can't get to your phone, your phone use has caused you to have an accident or injury, you're spending more and more time using your phone. Overall, there are many ways to get too caught up on machines/screens.
Don’t worry, I’ve got some tips to help you get over your cell phone addiction:
=Keep yourself on a schedule
=Turn off as many push notifications as possible
=Take distracting apps off your home screen
=Kick your device out of bed
=Stay accountable for the things happening in your life besides your phone
=Get some fresh air, spend time doing things you love, hang out with friends and family
Prioritize your mental and physical health!!
