About Us

The SOARce is a monthly paper run by the students of SOAR High School in their Intro to Journalism class. Students work hard to gain interviews about current topics affecting the Antelope Valley community while also trying to entertain their audience. Our team is split by who usually writes what type of articles and who edits them. The writing cycle and editing cycle both take about a week. By writing the paper a month in advance, we hope to assure that a regular flow of news comes out. In addition, our staff produces a monthly podcast and broadcast, tailored to each high school class to provide insight into the daily lives of SOAR students. We are also currently working on getting a monthly physical newspaper. Never be afraid to come to our website, where we place the latest stories and entertainment. Enjoy!
